First, let me thank everyone for the wonderful roller skating party we had this week. It was great to see all the dads and moms out there on the floor roller skating like the wind. All the children seemed to be having a wonderful time.
And just another thought -- I usually write in pencil and I feel this little saying was a great simile of how we feel about our students, our little pencils.
A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL FIVE IMPORTANT LESSONS :
1.) EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK.
2.) YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.
3.) WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.
4.) IN LIFE , YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS, WHICH WILL MAKE YOU A BETTER PERSON.
5.) TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.
Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm, Principal Schultz
