Calculators

I have had many questions about students using calculators at home and with the summer approaching keeping math skills sharp is essential. Your child will use a calculator throughout life; so, it is good for him to be comfortable with the tool. He should also know how to do basic math operations - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division - on paper and in his head. Your child's teacher will usually say when it's okay to use a calculator but at home keep practicing those math facts; it certainly will pay off when they get older and start computing their taxes. Have a great week and enjoy the weather, Principal Schultz
